A Quintessential Student
This is a short story written by me that was published by Terribly Tiny Tales on May 28, 2018. Do give it a read!! That night in Bombay wasn't too different from most others for Rohan. The temporary sense of joy that accompanied scoring the winning goal while playing football downstairs quickly disappeared on spotting the pile of homework that rested on his desk. Which would be the reason why he wouldn't be at peace in school the next day. He had to write essays on "The importance of a healthy lifestyle" and "Procrastination- a student's biggest enemy". The fact that the assignment was already a week overdue, and that it was 11:30 pm on a Wednesday when he had to wake up at 5:30 the next day, reduced it to an exercise in hypocrisy. What made his task all the more daunting was the knowledge that it would be checked by his pedantic and pettifogging teacher, Mrs. Rao.
